Hickory – Catawba Science Center kicking off the summer with a day filled with out-of-this-world fun on Saturday, May 22 from 10am – 4pm!
Join us for hands-on activities, live animal encounters, and shows in our newly updated planetarium with shows every half hour starting at 10:30 AM. Weather permitting, there will also be stations outside on the North Lawn.
Also, Imagine. Design. Play. returns to the Science Center starting Friday, May 28. Come explore your inner creative engineer in our featured exhibit Imagine. Design. Play! This exhibit is designed to foster critical thinking through open-ended free play.
Each hands-on component of the exhibit allows you to build, create, and invent to your hearts content! Design, and build your very own creations with the big blue blocks, K’nex, ducktape, plastic piping, hickory sticks, and more! This exhibit is appropriate for all ages. Cost included in general admission.
