Hickory – The Hickory Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Support Group resumes from its seasonal hiatus on March 19, 2018. The monthly meetings will be held at Women’s Resource Center on the third Monday of each month from 1:00-2:30 PM. Registration is not required to attend.
If you or a family member, friend or significant other are living with the challenges of chronic pain related to fibromyalgia or some other health related condition, joining the group should be beneficial to you.
Membership is free. Members benefit from the SUPPORT and encouragement gained from other members of the group, access to information about recently published research, medications, and techniques for pain management, and empowerment strategies for managing their personal lives and interpersonal relationships. The support group will be facilitated by psychologist, Dr. Sara E. Stevenson, PhD. Guest speakers from various health disciplines will also be invited to share valuable information with the group.
