Hickory – Throughout March the Hickory Public Library is hosting a series of programs, events, and classes all about the fiber arts! This series is appropriately named Sheep to Sweater Series as we will learn about the creation of yarn and ways you can use yarn to create something new.
The Sheep to Sweater Series will kick off on Wednesday, March 2nd from 2-4pm with a visit to Windy Wool Windings Farm where we will observe first-hand the creation of wool yarn from the source – sheep! From processing wool to spinning, this event promises to be both informative and fun. This field trip will take place outdoors so prepare for weather and mud as well as a terrain that includes up and down hill path ways. This field trip is for all ages. Registration is required and space is limited.
