Hickory – Full Circle Arts invites the public to its reception for the exhibition Open Competition Thursday, April 16, 6:00-8:00pm. The show includes all kinds of ideas and media.
The competition is being judged by Samantha Oleschuk, an arts leader, professional on aging, writer, and creative aging specialist.
Winners will be announced at the reception. Refreshments are provided by FCA members.
A highlight of the occasion is a demonstration by Matt Strawn of intaglio printing.
Matt has been creating art for more than 30 years, working primarily in printmaking, especially etching. People can see his art in his studio space at the Red Awning Art Gallery in Hudson.
And more, Full Circle Arts announces a show in its Brick Gallery, Realistic Peace, paintings by Chelsea McGrew, April 2-May 2.
The public can meet Chelsea at FCA’s reception for “Open Competition”.
FCA is a non-profit artists’ cooperative located in downtown Hickory, 42-B Third Street NW. Hours currently are Thursdays and Fridays, 10:00am to 4:00pm, and Saturdays, 10:00am to 2:00pm.
