Hickory – The Hickory Downtown Development Association would like to welcome Executive Director, Amy Ogle.
A native of Hickory, Amy attended Hickory High School and Lenoir Rhyne College, where she received a BA in Communications and Broadcasting. Amy went on to work in Theatre and Arts Administration. In 2000 she became the Coordinator for the Chairs on Parade Project that was sponsored by the Hickory Art Museum. Her journey led her to Greensboro, NC where she specialized in Arts Administration at the Southeastern Theatre Conference and University of NC at Greensboro.
In 2010 she returned home to her roots and became the Assistant Director of the Tarlton Complex at CVCC. Broadening her event coordination to include sporting events, graduations, and community college functions. In 2017, she achieved a personal goal by earning her Master of Science in Computer Forensics. Amy brings with her to HDDA a wealth of experience in event coordination, logistics, public relations and a love of technology.
As a daughter of Hickory she has strong ties to not just the town, but to downtown. She grew up within a miles walk to downtown providing her with numerous memories, including Saturday morning strolls with her father. She is keeping this tradition alive with her young son.
