Hiddenite, NC – The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center has announced the cancellation of the final 2020 Summer on the Square event that would have featured the Shakedown Band of Taylorsville. This cancellation is the result of the restrictions in place at this time for outdoor events due to Covid19.
Although this year’s free Summer on the Square Concert Series has been cancelled, the Center looks forward to presenting the musical performances in 2021, including Silver Hawk Band with their variety of rock, country, and gospel music and Shakedown Band with their unique blend of beach music, rock ‘n roll, Motown, and Top 40.
With the cancellation of the June Summer on the Square, look for details as the Hiddenite Center presents a watch party featuring The YaYa’s in concert on Saturday, September 12 at 7 pm until 8pm. Summer on the Square is a unique collaboration between the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center, the North Carolina Arts Council, and local county and city government providing diverse live music and cultural entertainment in downtown Taylorsville at no cost to the public.
