Pride and Prejudice (1940) Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier star in what is considered to be one of the best of the many adaptations of Jane Austen’s celebrated 1813 novel. Extras include a vintage short and cartoon and the film’s trailer.
Girl Crazy (1943) and Strike Up the Band (1940) Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland were two of MGM’s top stars of the 1940s thanks to films like these where the premise always consists of the duo putting on a show, which they do in their own inimitable fashion. Tommy Dorsey appears in Girl Crazy while bandleader Paul Whiteman appears in the latter film. Both discs (sold separately) feature bountiful extras that include a stereo musical number from each film and intros from the late Mickey Rooney.

L’Innocente (1976) was the final film for celebrated director Luchino Visconti. In the latter part of the 19th century, a restless aristocrat cheats on his wife and then is confronted with the knowledge that his mistress is having her own affair. This leads to much mental anguish for the aristocrat. Giancarlo Giannini and Jennifer O’Neil star. Extras include a video essay and a 16 page booklet.
