Chasing Chasing Amy (***) In this intriguing documentary, filmmaker Sav Rodgers delves into the complicated aftermath of Kevin Smith’s 1997 LGBTQ+ movie “Chasing Amy,” utilizing interviews with the talent behind the film.

Inglorious Basterds (2009) Quentin Tarantino’s revisionist take on the holocaust gets its second 4K release with a boatload of new extras and boasting a new transfer.
Incubus (1966) William Shatner stars as a soldier obsessed with finding a body of water with healing powers, in this curio, a folk horror film from the creator of the original Outer Limits TV series Extras in this 4K UHD release include commentaries, featurettes and interviews.
The Cell (2000) Jennifer Lopez literally leaps into the mind of a serial killer in this well-regarded thriller getting a first ever 4K UHD release. Bonus materials include an alternate version of the film, interviews and commentary.
Cohen Media:
My Name is Alfred Hitchcock (2022) Mark Cousins directs/wrote this odd documentary wherein an impersonator of the famous director narrates a tour through his career. The Blu Ray release contains test footage of the film’s narrator.
Lionsgate:
Three more films from the catalog of Quentin Tarantino come to 4K UHD for the first time this week. They are Kill Bill (2003), Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004) and Jackie Brown (1997). No new extras but all three retain practically all of the previously issued bonus materials.
Criterion:
The Grifters (1990) Stephen Frears’ adaptation of Jim Thompson’s novel comes to 4K UHD sporting a splendid new transfer. Extras on the release include audio commentary, interviews and making of doc.
The Mother and the Whore (1973) This French love triangle from director Jean Eustache, long thought to be lost, makes its 4K debut as well and includes interviews and an essay book.
Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life is Calling (1986) Richard Pryor directed this autobiographical look at his life, now making its 4K debut for the first time ever. Extras include a new and archival interview.
Kino:
New 4K UHD upgrades from the label abound this week. The trio of titles getting a 4K facelift are April Fool’s Day (1986) Murder by Decree (1979) and Reindeer Games (2000). All three include new commentaries. Blu Ray releases of Nicholas Meyer’s horror entry, Invasion of the Bee Girls (1973) and the Burt Reynolds starrer, Fade In (1968). Both include commentaries as well.
