Hickory – The audition isn’t over yet. After a thrilling opening weekend, with near-capacity audiences, the cast of A Chorus Line is stepping back onto the line for three more performances. So if you missed the opening this is your chance to catch this legendary, ground-breaking musical live. .
Performances of A Chorus Line are Fridays and Saturdays, Sept 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 7:30pm; Sunday Sept 6 at 2:30pm; and Thursday, Sept 10 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $18 for adults, and $12 for youth and students 18 and under. This production is recommended for ages 13 and up.

A Chorus Line is produced in association with Catawba Valley Health System. Hickory Community Theatre is a funded affiliate of Arts Culture Catawba and receives sustaining support from the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. Meet the Director of A Chorus Line at the Patrick Beaver Library this Saturday
Come meet some of the actors in the Hickory Community Theatre production of A Chorus Line, hear a song performed live, and learn more about the show from Leanna Bodnar, Director of the HCT production. The program will be presented on Saturday, September 5th at 2:30pm at the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library, 375 3rd St NE in Hickory.
Attendees will receive a coupon for a free ticket, while supplies last, to see the Hickory Community Theatre production before it closes on September 12th. There will also be a drawing to win a copy of “A Chorus Line: The Complete Book of the Musical” by James Kirkwood.
Bodnar hails from the San Francisco Bay Area where she began her extensive training in the performing arts. A true triple threat, she made her professional debut at age 17 as Maggie in A Chorus Line. Her professional credits include principal roles in the Broadway National Touring companies of Cats, Jerome Robbins’ Broadway and Grease. Twenty years ago she was inspired to teach and has been in the studio ever since. In a culmination of three decades of professional experience, she took a small ballet studio and transformed it into a thriving nonprofit arts education organization.
