Hickory – The new Jazz on Tap Legacy Concert Series kicks off this Sunday, April 2, 4-6pm and is Free to the Public. This event is hosted by the Hickory Downtown Development Association in coordination with the City of Hickory and the Hickory Jazz Society. Jazz on Tap was the longest running jazz night in Western North Carolina for 20 years until Covid hit. From 2000-2020 Jazz lovers came from a one hour radius to hear real jazz of all flavors with rotating musicians with weekly host and coordinator Rick Cline. Now Rick Cline celebrates the Jazz on Tap Legacy with some of the most popular musicians from that 20 year time period. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the sounds of classic jazz from bebop to swing. For more information visit www.hickoryjazzsociety.com
