Conover, NC – The League of Women Voters of Catawba Valley (LWVCV) announces a “Meet the Candidates” event in Conover ahead of the November general election. The event will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM at the NC Works Career Center in Conover.
The event is a collaboration with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Xi Phi Omega Chapter. The event is free, nonpartisan, and open to the public. 
Meet the Candidates is a casual and easy way to speak one-on-one with candidates. The candidates will be located around a large room and have tables with their materials on them. Attendees can visit with candidates in any order to have the chance to ask questions and hear their answers.
