Milli Vanilli (***) is a new documentary film chronicling the untold circumstances surrounding the 80s pop duo’s meteoric rise to fame and devastating fall. New and archival interviews are utilized to unravel the story in the intriguing film. (Paramount Plus)

The Others (2001) Alejandro Amenabar’s spooky tale of an overprotective mother and her efforts to shield her children from ghostly horrors comes to 4K for the first time ever in this new edition. Extras include new interviews and documentaries coupled with archival extras.

Kino:

Red Dragon (2002)Anthony Hopkins’ third appearance as serial killer Hannibal Lecter, previously filmed as Manhunter, gets a 4K upgrade. Extras include documentaries, featurettes and deleted scenes.

Black Sabbath (1963) Mario Bava directed and Boris Karloff stars in this trio of horror stories, each with a twist ending. Extras include a commentary by Tim Lucas.

Cujo (1983) Stephen King’s tale of a woman and her son being terrorized by a rabid Saint Bernard comes to 4K disc for the first time ever. Archival extras are retained and there are some new ones as well including new interviews.

Two Small Bodies (1993) A nightclub hostess being questioned in a potential kidnapping case finds herself romantically entangled with the police inspector investigating. Extras included director and actress interview.

It: The Terror From Beyond Space (1958) A creature stows away on a ship and murders its crew leaving one crew member to face murder charges in this sci-fi thriller that inspired the 1979 film, Alien. Extras include three new audio commentaries.

Troma Films:

The Toxic Avenger Collection (1983-2000) All four Adventures featuring the monstrous hero get a 4K upgrade for the first time. Extras include audio commentaries, cast member interviews, featurettes, photo galleries and short films.

Warner Archive:

Todd Browning’s horror thriller, The Devil Doll (1936), the Oscar nominated drama, Before Night Falls (2000), the modern day film noir, Palmetto (1998) and the Pre-code romantic drama, Christopher Strong (1933) are all being issued by the label this week for the first time ever on Blu-ray. All of the titles include bonus materials.

Paramount:

Paramount Scares: Volume 1 (1968-2022) is a limited edition new box set from the label containing five horror titles in the 4K format. Titles included are Rosemary’s Baby, Smile, Pet Sematary (1989), Crawl and the first ever 4K release of Sweeney Todd, the latter only available here.

Sony:

Rock Around the Clock (1956) Bill Haley and the Comets star and perform in this tale of a big band promoter discovering rock and roll and how to capitalize on it, now on Blu-Ray for the first time.

Other titles being issued by the label this week are a new 4K upgrade of Godzilla (1998) and The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984).

Synapse:

Tombs of the Blind Dead (1972) Three ghostly knights terrorize a trio of friends on a camping trip in this Spanish horror classic getting a new Blu-ray edition. Extras include multiple cuts of the film, a documentary and featurette

Arrow:

The Iron Fisted Monk (1977) is the tale of a young civilian taken in and trained by Shaolin Monks after his uncle is killed. The limited edition Blu-ray set includes interviews, commentary and a poster.

Unearthed Films:

Deadgirl (2008) Two teenage boys get more than they bargain for when they discover an imprisoned girl who will not die in this cult classic getting a first ever Blu-ray issue. Bonus materials include featurettes, commentary and new interviews.
