New to Streaming:
Food Inc. 2 (***) is a sequel to the 2008 film which warned about the dangers inherent in US food production. This sequel, which is equally entertaining and informative, is a more hopeful affair than the first film as it sheds light on current improvements being made by food producers that will hopefully lead the production of our food to a more healthier place.

The Departed (2006) The 2006 Oscar winner for Best Picture comes to the 4K UHD format this week in both standard and steelbook editions that retain all of the previous extras from the Blu-Ray edition.
The Beekeeper (2024) Jason Statham is the former head of an organization known as ‘The Beekeepers’ now out for revenge in this action entry available now in both Blu-Ray and 4K formats.
Kino:
Nostalghia (1983) Andrei Tarkovsky’s tale of a Russian intellectual falling for his translator while on a research project comes to 4K this week along with a documentary and commentary.
The Road to Ruin (1928-34) A group of high schoolers find themselves slipping down a morally degrading slope in this cult classic now restored and featuring the original silent version as a bonus.
Scream/Shout Factory:
Rolling Thunder (1977) William Devane is a Vietnam vet out for revenge against those who disabled him and murdered his family in this thriller-one of filmmaker Quentin Tarantino’s faves-coming to 4K UHD for the first time ever. There are a few new extras in addition to the archival ones being retained.
Sony:
Steel Magnolias (1989) The perennial favorite about the comings and goings at a Louisiana beauty shop comes to 4K just in time for its 35th anniversary. Archival extras have been retained.
Criterion:
I Am Cuba (1964) is a series of four vignettes about the Cuban people from director Mikhail Kalatozov and now available in the 4K format. Extras include a bonus documentary and two featurettes.
MGM:
Eight Men Out (1988) John Sayles’ take on the 1919 Black Sox baseball scandal is being reissued on Blu-Ray after having gone out of print a while back. No extras.
Universal:
Drive Away Dolls (2024) Joel Coen’s comedic thriller about a road trip gone wrong comes to Blu-Ray accompanied by a few featurettes.
