Sponsored by Catawba Valley Health System, Christmas in Oz is an original play written by local playwright Andrew Turnbull, original music will be performed by pianist John Coffey. This wonderful Christmas story was written specifically for Newton-Conover Auditorium and will be premiered for the first time on their stage! The witch becomes the grinch of this delightful holiday play when she steals Christmas from munckinland. Travel with Dorothy back to Oz to save Christmas! All your Oz favorites – Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Glinda, and more! Dorothy and her friends find the spirit of the season to take back to Kansas for Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. A heartwarming holiday tale for the whole family!
Run time is 1.5 hours with 15 minute intermission.
Performances are 12/13, 12/14, 12/20, 12/21 at 7:00 pm and 12/15 & 12/22 at 3:00 pm.
