The off-field actions of Bill Belichick’s North Carolina football players are raising alarms at the university, according to a school report.

An individual player has been cited at least four times for speeding, two of which include reckless driving charges. Another player was cited three times for speeding, including an instance where they allegedly were driving over 100 MPH.

Tragic stories from other campuses in recent years across the nation remind us of the dangers of this behavior.  Repeat offenses indicate a lack of concern for innocent citizens.

Apparently, morals are an issue also as one of those who were arrested for speeding had his car parked in a handicap spot. In all, at least five “transfers or key players” have been cited for speeding since January.

The behavior has gotten the attention of UNC instructors who are asking university officials to do something about it according to media outlets. Professors report players have parked in spots marked for people with disabilities, sped through narrow parking decks, backed into unauthorized parking spots and have cursed at them.

Tar Heel Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham reportedly addressed the issues to the football program. Cunningham was quoted as saying he does not know how many more times he can apologize.

This has been an ongoing problem since Belichick’s arrival to Chapel Hill. WRAL  reported that team members have amassed 31 speeding tickets and 10 counts of reckless driving.

NBA Draft Lottery

The 2026 NBA Draft Lottery was one of the most anticipated lotteries in recent memory.

This draft class is heavily loaded with potential NBA superstars such as AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer of Duke, Darryn Peterson, and Caleb Wilson of UNC.

We now know that the Charlotte Hornets officially own the No. 14 pick in the first round. They also possess the 19th pick.

Police Blotter Becoming Issue At UNC

I reviewed some early mock drafts. It looks like Alabama guard Labaron Philon Jr., may be available with either pick.

Philon shined in the NCAA Tournament, recording 35 points during a loss against Michigan. He also notched 29 points in his first-round game and 12 assists in his second. The guard averaged 22.0 points per game this season, and he improved his 3-point shooting from 31.5 percent as a freshman to 39.9 percent as a sophomore, while also managing 5.0 assists per game in the process.

The draft order for the first five picks are the Washington Wizards, Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies, Chicago Bulls, and the Los Angeles Clippers.
