Hickory – The Hickory Music Factory is offering classes for The Think Tank: A Songwriting Workshop with Liam Bailey. The classes are August 3 – 7, from 9:30am – 2:30pm. Cost of the classis $175.00. Class size is limited to 10 Students ages 12-18 years of age. Students will each write an original composition with Liam. Students will hold a virtual performance of their new original songs Friday, August
7, at 4:00pm. A socially distant environment will be maintained to HMF standards.
There are a few slots left for this. Great opportunity for young songwriters. The Think Tank Songwriting Camp will give students an opportunity to write and collaborate with songwriter Liam Bailey in an environment conducive to the process.
The early part of the week will be spent discussing and initiating the process of songwriting. We will spend the bulk of the week bringing fresh ideas to life and allowing them to develop. The final days will be in preparation for an instructor-led virtual performance of all new material to be shared with friends and family. Students are encouraged to bring their instruments and collaborate when possible.
A safe, socially-distanced environment will be maintained and follow the HMF COVID-19 policies and standards. The camp will take place at the Hickory Music Factory (1515 12th St Dr NW) and students 12-18yrs are welcomed to attend. Times for the camp are 9:30-2:30pm and students should bring their lunch each day.
