Hickory – Sit back, relax, and enjoy a free movie night downtown featuring the 1984 film The Karate Kid.
Weather permitting, the outdoor screening will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Union Square in downtown Hickory. Showtime will be at 8:30 p.m.
Concessions and games will be available before the movie begins. Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Starring Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita, The Karate Kid follows the story of a bullied teenager who learns karate from a martial arts master. The movie is rated PG.
Saturday Screenings are presented by Jay Brown, Realtors® and hosted by the City of Hickory Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department in partnership with Footcandle Film Society.
