Newton, NC – As part of its Summer Learning programs, the Catawba County Library is pleased to welcome Sharon Clarke, a Connelly Springs, NC-based storyteller and musician who has been entertaining audiences for more than 30 years. Her next performance takes place at 10 am at the Conover Branch Library on Friday, July 26.
In each program, Clarke shares stories and performs folk music, offering fun narratives and memorable images that children are sure to love. Through active engagement and participation, she also ensures that they remember the characters and lessons she’s brought to life.
Clarke builds excitement about books and learning as she performs, leaving kids with an eagerness to play and discover. Whether the young participants walk away mesmerized by the magic of her stories or the rhythms of her didgeridoo, parents and grandparents can be sure that imaginations will have been sparked for further exploration. And that kind of curiosity is an invaluable gift!
