Hickory – The Hickory Community Theatre is hosting a live-streaming event called Black Voices Matter, which will benefit local libraries by providing funds to purchase racially diverse materials. This one-of-a-kind event will premiere online on Saturday, July 18 at 7:30pm.
The Black Voices Matter show will feature a variety of artistic forms of expression, including music, dance and spoken word.
The artists performing in this event include: Alayna, Ray Christian, RJ Christian, Tiffany Christian, Sierra Doyle-Rios E’Lon JD, Eternity, Cara Hagan, Donovan Harper, Kayla Harper, Jonny Rob, Michael Ross, Jana Phylise Sales, Kayla Simone, Whit Whitaker, ZahKiyrah Whitfield and many others. This online, live stream event is free but donations are encouraged. All proceeds from the show will be donated to support the purchase of racially diverse materials for local libraries in the Hickory area.
