Taylorsville, NC – Choral music lovers will be treated to the much anticipated Studio3 Chorale Spring Concert on Sunday May 18th. Audiences are invited to Davis Hall in the First Baptist Church in Taylorsville, 321 W. Main Ave. for the 3PM performance. This concert is free admission and first come, first serve seating.
The Studio3 Chorale is the only adult community chorus in the area. Under the capable direction of Conductor Jordan Dagenhart and Associate Conductor and Accompanist Bernadette Watts, this 55 member choir is sure to please the audience with inspiring and entertaining choral presentations.
The Spring Concert offers great music selections such as the uplifting “I’ll Be On My Way “ by Kirchner, The dramatic “Last Words of David” by Randall Thompson, “Lamentations of Jeremiah” by Stroope, the exciting blues song “Death Came a Knockin,” Broadway selections from Les Miserable, The Lion King, and much, much more. Studio3 Chorale Concerts have a reputation for performing exceptionally enjoyable music of many different genres, so there is something for everyone.
Then on Friday evening, May 30th, a spectacular America the Beautiful Concert will be performed at 7:30pm, Davis Hall in the Taylorsville First Baptist Church, 321 W. Main Ave. Free admission.
This event is the first of its kind in Alexander County. Sponsored by the Town of Taylorsville and presented by Studio3, the concert will present music made famous during times of war in American history, including the Civil War, the Great World Wars, Vietnam, and more.
The purpose of the concert is to honor the greatness of America and all those who served to keep our country free. All branches of the military will be acknowledged. The performance will include narratives such as the Gettysburg Address, many guest performers and soloists, the Studio3 Orchestra, the Studio3 Chorale, and the Studio3 Youth Chorus presenting powerful music and videos.
