Catawba County, NC – Connect Catawba is back! This quarterly resource forum brings together professionals from across the community to share, learn, and collaborate around local services and resources. The first forum of the year will take place on Thursday, June 5, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Highland Recreation Center in Hickory.
Each Connect Catawba forum centers on a specific topic and features a keynote speaker along with short presentations from local agencies working in that area. It’s a chance for attendees to hear what’s available, learn how to refer families, and build connections with other providers.
The June forum will focus on “Supporting Families Facing Food Insecurity.” Zach King, Community Health and Strategy Consultant at Catawba County Public Health, will give the keynote presentation: “Nutrition Security as a Key Driver of Health and Well-Being.” Additional brief presentations from community partners will follow, along with light refreshments and time for networking.
