Hickory – Join us on July 27th at 7PM for the Fourth Annual Hickory Playground Theatre Festival at the Drendel Auditorium on the SALT Block, Hickory.
Eight local playwrights and 30+ local actors will come together for the fourth year in a row to create eight original ten-minute plays. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll be supporting the arts in Catawba County, North Carolina. And even better than that: all proceeds raised during the Fourth Annual Hickory Playground Theatre Festival will go directly to supporting arts education in public schools in Catawba County. By purchasing a ticket and coming to this event, not only are you treating yourself, you are furthering the community, the county, and the region.

About The Hickory Playgound:
The Hickory Playground, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit arts advocacy organization. Created in April 2016 by three nineteen-year-old Hickory residents, the organization was founded due to the need for arts activism in Western North Carolina. The Hickory Playground creates a platform for up-and-coming artists by producing a visual arts gala at the opening of every summer and a forty-eight hour play festival at the close of every summer. The monies raised are utilized to support arts education in the arts departments of public schools in Catawba County, North Carolina. The Hickory Playground seeks to act as a model and blueprint for arts activism in communities around the state, nation, and world.
