Lenoir, NC – The Caldwell Arts Council announces the 39th Annual Sculpture Celebration on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Broyhill Walking Park in Lenoir, NC. The rain or shine event will showcase a variety of indoor and outdoor works created by sculptors from across the eastern United States who compete for $11,000 in cash awards.

The event kicks off with a Welcome Dinner on Friday, September 5, where the public can join sculptors and sponsors for a 6:00 p.m. reception followed by dinner and judge’s presentation. Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be bought at www.sculpturecelebration.com.

Saturday’s festivities are free to the public and will offer food vendors and live music from the Shelby Rae Moore trio and Rastacoustic. On-site parking will be available as well as complimentary shuttle service from Mulberry Recreation Center.

This year’s juror is Joseph Bigley, Executive Director of the Western North Carolina Sculpture Center and professor of art at Appalachian State University, who will guide a tour of the winning pieces after the 3:15 p.m. announcements.
