Morganton, NC – The Kidzone and Teenzone is back at the Morganton Festival taking place Downtown Morganton on Sept. 6 & 7,
The KidZone is a fun filled area on North Green Street, which features rides, face-painting and hands on crafts.
The TeenZone area features a variety of interactive inflatables including the Volcano Rock Climbing Wall, Wild West Mechanical Bull, Full Court Press Basketball Toss, Water Tag, and much more!! The Festival kicks-off on Friday, September 6th at noon until 11:00pm, with rides opening at 2:00pm, and Saturday, September 7th from 9:00am until 10:00pm.
Rides and Pricing: TeenZone Rides and KidZone Rides open Friday at 2pm; Students that wear their school t-shirts will ride for free from 2:00-5:00pm. After 5:00pm on Friday and all-day Saturday, tickets will be sold: $1 for 1 ticket, $10 for 14 tickets OR $20 for 30 tickets: each ride takes between 3 and 5 tickets.
Roving Acts: This year at the Morganton Festival, attendees will enjoy professional performers wandering throughout the festival crowds and wooing audiences of all ages. The One Man Band is back to stun the crowds with his musical talents. Picture the opening of Mary Poppins with Dick Van Dyke as the One Man Band, except playing Classic Rock, Country, and Pop songs most people know and love. The One Man Band creates a “musical illusion” playing 9.1 instruments all attached to his body at once! Or catch the acrobatic wonders that make up the Asheville Aerial Arts performers. It’ll be something no-one will want to miss!
Be sure to stop by the Litter Critters area in the Kidzone, a fun, FREE, hands on crafts space for grades 5 and under. This year’s art activity is newspaper hats! Litter Critters will be running Friday evening and all day Saturday.
More music and novelty acts are scheduled throughout the weekend. Hundreds of craft and food vendors will also be spread amongst the streets of downtown Morganton.
