Hickory – Join fairytale friends as they try to save their beloved inn with a very imaginative story!
Word around the village is that a dragon is back!! Or is there? The innkeepers at the Dancing Dragon Inn made the whole thing up, hoping a good scare would bring paying guests through the door. It works… maybe a little too well. Before long the inn is crowded with princesses determined to prove they’re brave and heroes who are not quite as fearless as their legends suggest. Songs start flying, stories get tangled, and everybody has to figure out what it really means to save the day.
Hickory Ballet & Performing Arts is bringing Imagine a Dragon to the CommScope Stage in downtown Hickory, on September 26 with two performances at 3:30pm and 5:00pm. It’s a short, family friendly musical packed with humor, heart, and a folk-rock score, performed by our own students! Grab a chair or a blanket, come a little early, and spend the afternoon watching local kids take the stage. It’s a good one for all ages.
