Hickory – Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics is partnering with the City of Hickory to host two additional Saturday Screenings in October.
Families are invited to enjoy free screenings of Top Gun: Maverick on Oct. 7 and Hocus Pocus on Oct. 28. The outdoor screenings will take place at 8 p.m. in Moretz Stadium at Lenoir-Rhyne University, weather permitting.
The newly renovated stadium features a videoboard measuring 30 feet by 60 feet, where the movies will be displayed, and a new state-of-the-art sound system.
Concessions and games will be available before each movie begins. Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on the field. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
In the event of inclement weather, the screenings will be moved indoors to the Shuford Arena at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
The October Saturday Screenings are hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics and the City of Hickory in partnership with Footcandle Film Society.
