NOW IN THEATERS:
Superman – The third Man of Steel reboot in 19 years lands in theaters and is supposed to be a launching pad for a new DC Comics universe. James Gunn, formerly the director of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, jumped the Marvel Comics ship to helm this latest incarnation whose plot points include defending earth against metahumans and Lex Luthor and so on and so forth. John Williams’ legendary Superman theme makes an appearance, reminding more seasoned movie fans of the 1978 iteration of the Superman story and is the closest to a hummable melody anyone will likely find in the film’s so-called musical score.
