Venom: The Last Dance – The third and final installment in the trilogy of films featuring the Marvel Comics character has now arrived. In this chapter, alien creatures from Venom’s home world create a threat for Venom and Eddie Brock.

Criterion:
Godzilla (1954) The original film that started it all comes to the 4K UHD format in a new edition that retains bonus material from the previous Blu-Ray release of the film. The set also includes both the original Japanese version of the film as well as the English language version released two years later.
Paramount:
I Love Lucy: The Complete Series (1951-59) All nine seasons of the classic sitcom have been lovingly remastered for the high-definition format in this new 33-disc set. Bonus materials include restored previously missing footage, original promos, flubs and commentaries.
White Christmas (1954) The classic holiday film starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye has also received the 4K UHD treatment from the label this week with a stunning new transfer and previously issued bonus materials.
Also getting a 4K facelift from the label this week is We Were Soldiers (2002), which stars Mel Gibson. Bonus materials from previous editions has also been retained.
Kino:
Fright (1971) This early slasher film, starring Susan George and directed by British director, Peter Collinson, gets a 4K makeover from the label. Extras include new commentary and interviews.
Rules of Engagement (2000) Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones star in this military thriller from director William Friedkin (The Exorcist). The new 4K UHD upgrade retains featurettes and commentaries from previous editions.
Wolfman’s Got Nards (2018) is a feature length documentary on the 1987 cult horror comedy, The Monster Squad. Previously available as a bonus feature on the 4K release of The Monster Squad, it’s now being issued as a stand-alone Blu-Ray. A commentary track is also included.
Made in England: The Films of Powell and Pressburger (2024) Filmmaker Martin Scorsese pays tribute to the talent behind such films as The Red Shoes and The Tales of Hoffman in this new documentary coming to Blu-Ray.
The Proud and Profane (1956) William Holden and Deborah Kerr star in this adaptation of the Lucy Herndon Crockett bestseller, a romance set during WWII. George Seaton (Miracle on 34th Street) directs. Extras on the Blu-Ray include a new commentary track.
The Court Marshall of Billy Mitchell (1955) makes its Blu Ray debut this week as well. The film stars Gary Cooper and is a dramatization of one of the most sensational military trials in US history. Extras include a new commentary track.
