Newton, NC – The Green Room Community Theatre announces that tickets for “Pride and Prejudice” are now on sale to the general public. With a book by Kate Hamill, this witty adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel brings a bold, fast-paced twist to a timeless story.
“Pride and Prejudice” follows Elizabeth Bennet as she navigates love, family, and social expectations with sharp humor and heart. This playful reimagining keeps all the romance and wit of Austen’s classic while adding a fresh, feminist perspective that will delight longtime fans and newcomers alike.
The production is directed by David Nields, with Breanna Wallace as stage manager, Sarah Kate Pedraza as assistant stage manager, and Lily Bodnar as choreographer. “Pride and Prejudice” is produced by Cargo Transporters.
Performances will take place Oct. 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19, 2025. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 3 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online at thegreenroomtheatre.org or by calling the box office at 828-464-6128 (open Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Ticket prices are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, $14 for students, and $8 for children 12 and under, not including N.C. sales tax.
